About
I am Associate Professor and Head of the Department of English Literature and Linguistics at Qatar University and am an Honorary Professor in Global & International Studies at UW-Madison. I obtained my Ph. D. in Comparative Literature from University of California-Berkeley. I teach English and comparative literature courses, feminist philosophy and postcolonial theory.
I have published many articles, reviews, short stories, and translations in Arabic and English. Currently, I am finishing two books, The Anxiety of the Foreign and Zoopoetics and the Politics of the Nonhuman in Middle Eastern and North African Literature.
