Dr. Yasser Mahgoub, is an architect, academic, and scholar. Received B.Sc. in Architectural Engineering from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt in 1978 and Doctorate in Architecture from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA in 1990. He has held several academic positions since 1990 at Ain Shams University, United Arab Emirates University, Kuwait University and Qatar University. Practiced as a professional architect in Egypt and was a founding member in 1980 of “The Egyptian Designers” architectural firm in Cairo, Egypt. Participated as an architect consultant in Egypt, UAE and Kuwait. Teaches architectural design studios, architectural research, environment and behavior in architecture and architectural professional practice. His research interests include social and cultural aspects of architecture, sustainable architecture, architectural education and the impact of globalization on architecture. Published several refereed research papers and book chapters. Dr. Mahgoub served as a reviewer in the Aga Khan Award 2010 Cycle.
الدكتور ياسر محجوب، مهندس معماري وأكاديمي وباحث. تلقى بكالوريوس في الهندسة المعمارية من جامعة عين شمس، القاهرة ، مصر في عام 1978 والدكتوراة في العمارة من جامعة ميشيغان، آن أربور، الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية في عام 1990. وقد شغل عدة مناصب أكاديمية منذ عام 1990 في جامعة عين شمس، جامعة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، جامعة الكويت وجامعة قطر. كما مارس المهنة في مصر، وكان عضوا مؤسسا في 1980 عن "المصممون المصريون" في القاهرة، مصر. شارك كمستشار معماري في مصر والإمارات العربية المتحدة والكويت. يدرس استوديوهات التصميم المعماري، والبحوث المعمارية والبيئة والسلوك في مجال العمارة والممارسة المهنية المعمارية. اهتماماته البحثية تشمل الجوانب الاجتماعية والثقافية للعمارة والعمارة المستدامة والتعليم المعماري وتأثير العولمة على العمارة. نشر عدة أبحاث علمية محكمة وفصول كتاب ومقالات. كما عمل الدكتور محجوب كأحد المراجعين في جائزة الآغا خان دورة 2010.
